Global-PPS at ESCMID Global 2024
Last Friday, the annual Global-PPS meeting in collaboration with bioMérieux took place on the occasion of ESCMID Global 2024, formerly known as ECCMID. Over 100 participants attended the hybrid meeting to learn more about the project’s activities, strategies and results. It was a special edition as Global-PPS also celebrated its 10 year anniversary! In honour of this, a celebratory logo was created and the team looked back at the achievements of the past years and discussed future opportunities yet to come.
Besides updates on the project itself, participants from Nigeria, Brazil, Canada, South Africa and Rwanda shared their experiences with both the inpatient and outpatient Global-PPS. During the last part of the meeting, members of collaborating projects such as drive-AMS and ADILA elaborated on their activities.
This year, the ESCMID Global congress took place in Barcelona and the Global-PPS team, together with some of its participants, were there to present their latest research results. Ten posters were accepted for presentation:
