Our Nigerian participants proudly launched their first (virtual) annual scientific conference of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Society of Nigeria (CLIMIDSON): “Antimicrobial Stewardship: Time to move from Theory to Practice” on November 26-27, 2020.

The state of Antimicrobial Stewardship in Nigeria, the development of antimicrobial policies and treatment guidelines; and the usefulness of the Global-PPS in Nigeria were presented and discussed during seven workshops and two oral presentation sessions. Participants and speakers were drawn from within and outside Nigeria, including Kenya, South Africa, Belgium, and the USA.  Read here the welcome word and agenda.
